Any 'religion' or organisation, which attempts to have their adherents' minds behaving like regimented soldiers on parade, must ultimately fail.
Charismatic founders and leaders have a limited shelf life as both time and the evolutionary process inevitably 'educate' the followers.
As this comes around, attempts at ever more rigid control increase, hopelessly trying to stop the mighty tide of consciousness from flowing inexorably.

These 'new' ideas are merely reflections of the dissatisfaction felt by the growing spiritual gap left by the demise of the previously extolled 'new ideas'.

And so we progress.
