I have recently re-read Maurice Barbanell's book "This Is Spiritualism" - for those who haven't read it, I recommend it as an interesting read. He mentioned Estelle Roberts and I managed to find a link to her autobiography. This is also IMHO well-worth a read. Fifty Years a Medium

Both books are excellent and I second the recommendations.

Curious that someone who is a self-professed non-Spiritualist appears so interested in Spiritualism.......
But I agree - great books.

Re: Estelle Roberts
I am not interested in Spiritualism as a religion. Only in the evidence for survival.

Obiwan has more knowledge and understanding of mediumship and survival evidence than many so-called Spiritualists.
Brother John, PN columnist for many years, wrote a book called "Truth Has No Label".

I have often remarked the same about my duck friend
As for 'Brother John' I always admired his contributions to PN and later his book. After some time away from taking that newspaper I was shocked and dismayed to find out that he had perished in (I think) a caravan fire.
Maurice Tester in 'Two Worlds' and Brother John were my most admired writers at that time - fond memories of both.
