If your dog loves you like you seem to love her/him then you'll be able to see one another again after you pass over.
Later your paths will separate....

Re: Do animals go to heaven?
The lengths people go to to advertise their wares never fails to amaze me.

And I got sucked in initially thinking he was a genuine enquirer...

I had the same problem on the guest book of my website, It got to the stage that some woman was even advertising porn so I had to make the guest book password protected. People had to become members to sign the guest book. Too much really.

It didn't take you long to suss him out though mac!
I thought he was genuine too until I saw the real purpose of his post which thankfully has been removed. I'm no prude but there's a time and place for everything and a spiritual site isn't one of those places imo.

Truly a hazard of the internet Zandorf. At least you're thinking of your members by protecting the guest book. You're right though it is too much. If only spirituality was as popular we would all notice a difference.

Re: Do animals go to heaven?
If anyone wants to advertise whatever they are peddling then good luck to them - there are always eager customers for whatever is offered.
But as you say skye, a site like this is not the place. It's not constituted for placing adverts and if it were those types would certainly not be appropriate...

Re: Do animals go to heaven?
[quote="cena2020"]I would like to assure readers that our ministry includes the love of people and animals alike. Some people see animals as simply a part of life to keep us company when we need them. We believe in and love God and everything that Jesus taught as do all the other ministries that teach the Word. It is God's plan that we love all His creatures and this is exactly what we do. So believe that our teachings on animals souls and spirits and their part in God's plan for Salvation is in addition to all the other teachings as found in the Bible.
On occasion we get an email suggesting that we should love our fellow man instead of animals. We love both and that is the wish of God. Love all that He created and only He will be the judge.
What you read on this website is not only our opinion but the word as taught by some of the greatest scholars and experts over the years and the Bible.
==============================
Reassuring as your words are, for many/most Spiritualists (I'd wager) the Bible has little special to offer.
The teachings underpinning Spiritualism have been given much more recently than those found in the Bible, although, as I feel sure you'll be aware, truth is unaffected by age....
Sadly it appears that your posting is linked to advertising so anything you might say is somewhat compromised by this and as advertising is not allowed anyway, I'll be referring it to the website owner....

Re: Do animals go to heaven?
I agree Mac the bible is not a reference book I use because of the old testament and factual flaws.
I suspect a Spiritualist view of animals is very high anyway.

Re: Do animals go to heaven?
I have come to the understanding that the bible takes one away from who they truly are.

Re: Do animals go to heaven?
I like the bits in the bible that talk about smiting your enemies and taking their eyes and teeth, and that even though Jesus preached tolerance and turning the other cheek, his followers carried swords. It's the mixed messages that make the bible so entertaining.
My favourite story as a child was from the Apocrypha, where some guy had an angel as his own personal bodyguard that would fight demons for him and there was something about wrestling a giant fish in a river somewhere. I wish I could read that one again...

Re: Do animals go to heaven?
I like it Wes and of course start to finish the Victors re wrote parts of it even the early bits of the Old Testament. The included bit about the lamb of God taken from the followers of Mythra is a favourite of mine after all Christmas day is thr day of the birth of that God not Jesus.

Re: Do animals go to heaven?
Thanks to the wonder of the internet I found that the book I was referring to was the book of Tobit.
The hero of the story goes on a road trip with his dog and an angel (Azariah) and a giant fish jumped out of the river Tigris and tried to eat his foot - hmmm not exactly a whale sized fish if it could only manage to grab his foot.
Later on our hero gets some friendly advice from Raphael about who he should marry - a woman who has lost no less than seven husbands! It was a demon that killed them and our hero looks like being victim number nine...
It is a real page turner and I can't understand why it didn't make the final cut and get included in the modern bible, it would have made a great action movie.
