Spiritual poem by TOMMOBEE
Hello I'm TOMMOBEE.
I'm 63 years old and have been married for 42 years. My wife and I have a son 35 years old and a daughter 33 years old. I've lived in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England all my life. My wife and I are members of spiritualist church in Sheffield. We have been members for 13 years.
My daughter is a spiritualist medium and serves churches in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire.
I write spiritual poems and philosophy, below is one of my spiritual poems I would appreciate your views on it.
Kind Regards
TOMMOBEE
THE DRIVING SCHOOL OF LIFE
We’re all travelling on a journey with
one common aim; learning lessons as
we go, please don’t get left behind.
As you drive the twists and turns inevitable
breakdowns will plague your peace of mind.
Some vehicles you know are trouble-free
for a hundred thousand miles, they
just climb the hills with positive happy smiles.
Some are poorly rust buckets
that succumbs to engine grief.
If they make it through the years
it’s with thankful heartfelt relief.
Trust in The Spirit World, your
loved ones are with you every day.
they’ll ride along on your
travels, come what may.
When upholstery and headlamps
need help from The Divine, you can rest
your motor in a car park one last time.
You’ll start a new adventure, old friends you’re sure to meet. In that realm it’ll be spiritual roads
you ride, and your God will be in the driving seat.

I live in NG19, about an hour away.
Sorry to say your blank verse doesn't work for me even though I'm a +30 year Modern Spiritualist. But I hope you stick around and offer your thoughts on matters of the spirit, particularly in connection with your daughter's mediumship. It might be best not to mention names, though.

Reply to Mac about my poetry.
Dear Mac,
Thanks for replying to my post. Mac, the like or dislike of poetry is personal to individual taste, thank you for being honest in your opinion of the verses, no offence taken.
Concerning my daughters mediumship, she developed at an open circle at a Spiritualist church in Sheffield. Six months later an experienced mentor helped her develop her mediumistic skills. She now works on platforms at a number of spiritualist churches on the South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire circuit. I attend with her on Divine Sunday services; I read out my written philosophy for that evening. I would love to know more about your experiences of Spirtualism; Look forward to hearing from you.

Other than in my formative years the Modern Spiritualist church is a place I visit only occasionally. Spiritualism isn't of course found only in churches! Yet I suggest to seekers that they might consider visiting one or more to help with their searches for understanding of life here and life 'in the beyond'.
What I do to promote Spiritualist teaching and philosophy - but equally to promote the message of survival (Spiritualism doesn't have a monopoly on this!) - I do online by offering ideas for seekers to consider. I try to 're-package' what I've learned to apply to individuals' enquiries or simply to 'spread the word' where Modern Spiritualism and its churches/centres are thin on the ground.
My biggest challenge can be to get over the simplicity of many Spiritualist teachings in the context of modern-day media such as NDEs, OBEs, past-lives interest and so-called channelling.
