Where to start?

This is (IMHO) a very important and interesting clip. Having read the book and seen the pictures before, it would be easy to dismiss the pictures as fakes and the story as either deluded or mistaken or even fraudulent. It is another thing entirely to dismiss them having heard such testimony directly from witnesses of the events.

Their demeanour seems clearly honest and open to me. They seem like very uncomplicated people. I would say they seem to be telling the truth as far as I can see. If one accepts they are truthful - could they be mistaken? I can't see how they could be: this was a regular gathering in an intimate environment occurring over a long period of time. Unless they made the whole thing up I can't see how they could be mistaken about what happened.

Then there is motive: why would they make this up and maintain a charade over such a long time? I cannot see how they might have gained from it; I'd find it hard to accept it was for material gain - could it be notoriety? I for one had never heard of them before reading the book and why would they be bothered what I thought anyway? Tom was hardly performing to capacity crowds Frankly none of them seem the type to be dishonest or attention-seeking and the story is so incredible as to be preposterous if it's fame they wanted or even recognition (although conceivably they are famous in spiritualist circles).

Could they be mentally ill/unstable? - I would have to ask "what all of them?" including a well respected medic and a colonel?

This is very hard to dismiss and it is very very valuable to have such testimony. I feel very moved having watched it. Thanks Jim.

I have known Tom Harrison for more than thirty years and have sat in physical circles with him although not materialisation ones I hasten to add. He is very proud of his mother's mediumship and all credit to him for spreading the word.

I know what he has written is correct because I have seen his notebooks in which he kept careful records of all that took place. In addition my own experiences in materialisation with Alec Harris are very similar.

I have no doubt that what he has written is absolutely factual.
