The Tunnel.
I've placed this in here hope it is the right place.
Ken,my husband had the experience of passing through what he called The Tunnel of Colours.
He was diagnosed with Prostrate cancer in 1995 and an appointment had been made for him to have his heart checked after a heart attack several months later.
It was to be a minor check up but needed to be right out for the procedure.
Right in the middle of the procedure, his heart failed and his memories were last of drifting of into sleep.
He found himself in not what he called a tunnel, but an array of colours of the rainbow.
These colours revolved around him very slowly thus forming what could have been described as a sort of tunnel.
He remembered drifting slowly through these wonderful colours,at peace and no fear was felt.
He felt no fear at all just drifted very slowly turning as he went.
He glimpsed what looked like a haze of light coming towards him but as this light became closer,he was suddenly pulled back and found himself in the recovery room.
A nurse was patting his hand and told him to lie quietly, there had a been a disruption to his procedure.
They discharged him and sent him home, which rather surprised me at the time.
He was unusually quiet on the way home and I kept asking him what was wrong but he wouldn't answer me.
It took four days before he told me as he thought i wouldn't believe him!
After he told me,he said he had no fear of death.
One of the first messages I received from him was to tell me never to fear what we called death.
Excuse typing but I am tired, but just felt I had to put this down.

Re: The Tunnel.
Anyone who has had this experience subsequently has no fear of death. Whether it is simply having 'been and seen' or, more likely it is the inexplcable depth of the event that produces such certainty.

Thanks for the link,Hiorta, have saved it,looks interesting.
I think my husband was more shocked by what happened than joyful,at first!
Once it sank in,he realised what a marvellous experience he went through.
Even when he was given approximately how long he had to live,he showed no fear.
