Well look again, The reson for this is to let the people who do the work earn a living, But if you are willing to put a roof over their head and food on thier table, clothes on thier back, bring up their children, pay for heating in the british climate, soap to wash in, because I had to risk going without them to do this, and I can asure you, we are not in this for personal gain. This venture has only cost and will continue to cost for a very long time.
I do hope that some day the dedicated people earn a living from it, but so will lots of people who use this media to advertize, thier Not For Profit, groups, where they drum up buisness for thier profit ventures.
If you know how to live for free in this world, can you tell me as I would love to live finance free.
I can tell you, that human nature always has somthing to gain for everything that they do and I know I did not do this for personal gain, I realy don't care what you think, because I know that time will tell the truth.

Part of the reason for the collapse of PN1995 was its lack of reserves, due to the fact the profits were entailed to the SNU.
Even not-for-profit organisations do not survive on fresh air. They need to make enough money to keep the enterprise afloat, and if neccessary to pay some skilled staff. They need donations/subscriptions from supporters or a very wealthy sponsor to keep going.
Don't knock Spirit of PN, at least Susan is trying to give an independant voice back to fair minded spiritualists.

I take it you have been looking at the Spirit of PN site and had a good look at what is on the link you posted. The man who set this up also set up a twittwr account and is directing people from the Wiki site to Spirit of PN.

Another who acted appropriately after the apalling work of the SNU's NEC.

Its good to see all of this coming together.

As to your first post I think the two replies given are quite adequate to put you properly in the picture. If you want a good publication not just another pulled together blog then it needs to be able to pay people, also need ingreserves and support.

I am sure you would not want to knock Spirit of PN because I notice that you have promoted it on Facebook.

By the way Jock I am sure that you will find that the Spirit of PN is being done for love not money. Indeed, seek around and you will find the company of which you speak is separate from the Spirit of PN with different people involved in the work behind each venture.

Unfunded, it is produced and financed by its people.

I think at this stage you have jumped to one of your famous conclusions. Clearly many have been working independently to try and get something to replace the old Psychic News, so callously murdered by the NEC. Some of these may prove to have great synergies in the future who knows?

Hopefully at some stage the people who produced it can be enabled to earn the money they need to live and present such a polished production to us. Running this forum as a volunteer with Lis , volunteer leader of a Spiritualist Mission, working to earn my living there is only so much that may be achieved voluntarily. Spiritualism Internationally deserves a proper totally Independent News service and that needs to be funded

As to gain, did anyone ever become wealthy from Psychic News, Psychic World or Two Worlds??? It's a wonder that any of these survived especially relying on the support of the Spiritualist Community which seems to be dissappearing rapidly by the year.

Take your blinkers and assumptions away and look at who is involved with the Spirit of PN. They do not see what you seem to with your apparent predjudice, your vision of a money making machine for gain.

What they see is the vital need for an Independent Newspaper for all of Spiritualism throughout the world, that is the driving force and thank God that they have shown it. It is clearly the driving force behind the work of the person who registered a company named Psychic News and hopefully may have blocked the SNU's underhand attempt to register a Trade Mark by this act. It is also the driver behind the man who set up the wiki and twitter sites.

At least they have not waited to touch their hat and be grateful for some SNU edited in house newspaper - they have gone out and acted. We are all the beneficiaries of their work, time and their money.

Mybe you sould do your homework a bit better and look at the profit that the two companys are making, or even the cash that has been put into them, or the chairperson, allthough I am not sure which one you mean, as I am the president of two spiritual groups, that have never made any profit, but I have picked up the tab on very regular basice for the loss that they encur and will continue to do so as long as I am able to do so, dispite the fact that many have tried to stop me many times, (you see there is people out there how want to make money on the things I do, so they don't like me.) I will continue to do what I can dispite any coments as I have seen it all before, My other company is a publisher, set up last year, to help people publish their Spiritual books and cards, and I sold it for a Pound, to the other director one month ago, but it will need a lot of envestment before it can run at full petential. I know the that the other partner has done some seirous investing in it, but please feel free to keep diging,

Believe it or not, we need this newspaper and The company has been set up so that more directors can be added, ie; the people who will run it, work hard and dedicate them selfs to their selfs to their dream of a truly Indipendant Spiritualist news paper for real Spiritual people. I think as I said before time will tell, so please print this off if you realy think you can say I told you so, because I know you wont.

I think Jocks last post added nothing but confusion. He clearly has no knowledge of who owns Spirit of PN and keeps jumping, as ever, to conclusions even ignoring the clear information given which tells him he is wrong.

Jock stop your blethering on this subject, you are off target and lacking in sufficient information to be coherent on it.

If you look at other threads you will find publiceye set up Psychic News Ltd and is quite open about it. This has no direct relationship with Spirit of PN. publiceye also explained her own health issue which means typing on here is a very brave and outstanding effort. Clearly their efforts also mirrored others who also wanted to see an independent PN return

Go and establish correct facts before you ciut loose Jock, comments like yours are a hindrance to the efforts to restart an independent newspaper for all Spiritualists.

By the way, I never mentioned Dunfermeline Ask Facebook directly but I thank it for promoting Spirit of PN.

As a matter of interest of course Psychic Press 1995 was a normal Company not a Not for Profit body. Really it matters little which route is chosen. However, had the SNU not taken the profits made in the good years then PN may have had the reserves to survive now. Unless it is a charity it could not accept tax exempt and allowable donations in the UK, as I understand the situation and that is a tough step.

However Jock, before you leap in again go and check your facts about who is who and what is what in this affair.

This thread is not of any benefit to the efforts of Spirit of PN as it stands and is likely to be removed. Not one person involved in Spirit of PN is being paid and they are covering some very specific costs involved in making it the latest technology.

Stop carping Jock and give some due praise some people are into action not some hope that things will happen by osmosis, or when the "great and good" of the NEC condescend to will it to the minions and serfs beneath them.
