The Silence of the Goats
Yesterday I saw "The Men Who Stare at Goats" and it was well worth the effort to see, it was a mix of thought provoking concepts, biting satire and pure slapstick, and of course goats being stared at. The good story, good script and good acting wasn't quite enough to make it a great movie but the very funny parts will long outlive the parts that didn't work.
One standout scene was where three members of the New Earth Army are trying to remote view the inside of a randomly chosen box. Kevin Spacey's character proceeded to channel an entity that sadly gave the wrong answer but still would have been equal to many platform mediums that are around today.
The New Earth Army in the movie is based on the supposedly real First Earth Battallion (you can find it on wikipedia) and it's goals were pure and altruistic until it was used for staring at goats and to say any more would spoil Jim's fun when he sees it
