Infra Red Thermographic image of a Ghost

In suggesting a way to monitor Physical mediumship I have often suggested the use of Thermographic Imaging using new infra red technology.

The attached vide from Golden State Ghost Hunters shows this at work. The thermographic image they show would also appear in the dark so not only would all of the circle members and the medium be constantly in sight but any materialised image, like in this case the Ghost, would show up. This technique is entirely safe as it is used in places where it is essential sensitive machinery or even food stuffs are not harmed. It emits no infra red waves.

By the by this is fascinating maybe it is an image of a Ghost

The problem with technology these days is that on the one hand it is a lot more accessible, on the other it is so versatile that one can fake almost anything. Shame really.

Funnily enough having worked on a consulting project with a company using these Flir cameras I am truly impressed. The answer is not to buy your own equipmment but to employ a consulting firm to do the filming and produce a certified report.

This was pretty much what was done with Cartheuser - result: silence.

Really if there is silence then something is wrong or Spirit truly do not want the world to have genuine proof of survival.

Personally the only answer is no more dark seances. But then we will have the charges of mass hallucination as they did when DD Home levitated out of the window

Sorry Jim - I meant Cartheuser had good independent testimony from sound engineers but it appears to have been forgotten/buried.

Hmm good point forgot who that was old age. Trouble is with my idea that it is clear that no currrent Physical medium would agree to it even though it is totally non invasive and safe. A system like this even removes the need for restraints bbut then seances in dim light would be even better especially if backed up by such technology. Especially as the same infra red cameras have low light normal didgital video capability which can be rerun superimposed over the thermographic image

I recall reading conflicting accounts as to whether passive IR was OK. I suppose it may not be necessarily be reasonable to assume the known laws of physics work the same way as we expect them to with this type of phenomena. I wouldn't have thought there would be much harm in trying it though finding a person who can demonstrate effectively appears to be a bridge too far.

Even physicist Ron Pearson, as many scientists who supposedly handled ectoplasm, says passive infra red is safe. Why then the Mediums and there "spirit controls" deny this is a little beyond reason. The few realistic pictures we have in existence are after all passive infra red.

My information is of course still that the film on the COSC websie of "William" in the presence of Ron Pearson he still says is scientifically unsound.

Ron Pearson is not a physicist - he is B,Sc.Eng.(Hons) C.Eng.M.I.Mech.E.

As he says:

I know Ron Pearson - a pleasant enough chap who unforunately got involved with the fanatic and conspiracy theorist, Michael Roll.

Ron and I were both invited to address a Mensa conference on the paranormal many years ago as a result of which I was asked to give a talk to the Scottish SPR.

After my talk to Mensa, Ron congratulated me and said that he wished he'd had the experiences I'd described. At the time he had never attended a seance.

Later he attended a seance with David Thompson
