Interesting that no one has tackled this one before there is so much material about especially now the Psychic News Archives are freely available. However, how much critical material is there about. I think the material is generally great and this was true deep trance but even then the control slips at times and the mediums views creep in. The combined wish of all the great trance mediums of the era for no second world war leading to a promise, even the day before its declaration, that there would be no war. In Silver Birch's case the words against transplants and blood transfusions (echoes of the original Jewish Strict Orthodox views, which might accept them but only from people of the same religion/race).

The big issue is that every level from light trance to channelling to deep trance has no absolute proof of its value, especially as it is very rare for the guide to prove their existence, so who is communicating, what are they communicating is it important and worth hearing.

My wife was/is an excellent deep trance medium, with transfiguration through overshadowing by the guide but still questions it value and will not do it now because of its health effects 30 minutes OOB leaves the medium disconnected when the trance ends.
