What is the Purpose of Life?
Life escapes us, we don’t realize that life just zooms by and we live without purpose. We don’t even know what life is all about. We are born, we grow up, we educate our self, we take up a profession, occupation, we earn, we build a family and soon it’s time to go; we die, we pack up and we move on from planet earth. So, is this the purpose of life? Are we born just for the sake of consuming life or were we given life for a purpose? Why were we born? Do we have time to introspect, to contemplate, to ask this question? Was life just given to us to consume the days, the weeks, the months, the years? At the end of it what happened?
People don’t even bother to think; they don’t even want to know. To them life is a joy ride and all that matters is that they are having fun, enjoying this journey; they don’t want to ask this question as what will happen after life. Where did they come from? Where do they go? What is the purpose of life? Who is God? Where is God? All these are boring, irrelevant questions, but the fact remains that there is a purpose of life, and this purpose shouldn’t be told to us by others, we should discover this purpose. Truthfully, we can’t even discover it; we have to realize it and we will realize the purpose of life when we keep our real eyes open. Then only we will realize the supreme truth that there is a purpose of life. The challenge for us is to discover that purpose.

This poster tars everyone with the same brush and really can have absolutely no idea of how the lives of others are unfolding.
Perhaps extracting the maximum 'juice' from their own life, while leaving all available life options to others to mull over is the healthiest route to take?

That doesn't seem any concern to her/him. Why would it?

Re: What is the Purpose of Life?
The answer dear Air is 42, that is the meaning of life. Your task is to go forth and explore this meaning, seeking to find real understanding of this and the multifaceted human experience. It is clear that at this stage you have some rather convoluted idea of what life is - but just for you, as you see it from your own perspective and your own mind, but none about other people.

When AiR declares that "Life escapes us....." etc the individual writing that perhaps means "Life has escaped me..." referring to himself without - perhaps - realising that others live lives very different from his.
He wouldn't be the first to believe that his personal life experiences, or the lack thereof, do not apply automatically to all others. It's not the first time I've seen such a mistaken belief.

Sadly very true Mac and as leader of a Spiritualist Centre an issue which I often confront and have to deal with, especially when the vision of one persons life is suddenly transposed upon others by a zealot.

Absolutely mac, if Life were to follow a general pattern we'd all be clones of one another and experience a distortion of its ever-changing magnificence.
