3 recent psychic stories in the papers

Sadly when you look at Hiorta's Comediums thread and some of these stories is it a wonder that we get such a bad report. I am surprised that Deb Webber cannot understand teh criticism of her offer to communicate with the victims of the New Zealand Mine Disaster for their families, even if its free. It also seems to suggest, as some modern psychic mediums seem to do, that they CAN communicate with teh loved ones you want to hear from.

The Adelaide one is very over the top against but then when I hear some of the messages that people tell me they receive around the traps its not surprising.

One of the issues that also concerns me is a sense of political correctness that if some one says they are a medium we should just accept it, no adverse comments should be made even when things are clearly wrong maybe even harmful to message recipients. That is clearly wrong in all senses of the world and just mimics the recent events in other religions. I may be open to such a claim by being mildly critical of Deb Webber but this is not a critique of her work but of the wisdom of the public way she has gone about this. She and Kelvin Cruikshank were impressive on the Sensing Murder NZ program.

One great aspect of the new mediumship is that it reflects an automatic acceptance of Life surviving death.
How different from about a century ago, when anyone even suggesting such was medically treated then often consigned to an institution for the insane.

Progress has been made and like all such progress, rarely runs in a straight line.

When SB spoke of the 'power of the Spirit pouring into your world' he didn't speculate on what shape the result might take.

When looked at dispassionately, the changes that have taken place have been truly impressive. Doctrines and dogmas are now virtually gone. The pillars of materialism are rocking on their pedestals - look at banking, for example.
Warrior, predatory nations are creaking at their financial seams and a new dawn does seem to be breaking - even the planet is altering.
Change is coming, the shape of that change is starting to be seen, which may bring a period of cleansing. The white races, in particular, have ruthlessly practised exploitation - of man, animal and plant for their own material gain.

Unfortunately Hiorta I tend to get little solace from this. The new warrior religions pour out far too much discord. Remember one of Nostradamuses last quatrains is about the antichrist from Persia.

The strains that exist could well throw us back to a new era, not of enlightenment but barbarism. If I was a psychic, rune reading, fortune teller I may chance my arm as teh new Nostradamus. If I did it would be one of armageddon and the survival of a few, the new tribes to create a new world.

As I am not I just feel this world will bumble along, the power to destroy socially (through unthinking Capitalism), economically (through the appalling control of financial regulations as a result of politicians who insisted on totally erroneous "free market Controls") and through military might (the misuse of control and the power of atomic weapons especia;;y with the random nature of some who own them). This we can do little about because the popular vote or dictatorial views/religous aspirations of some countries reacts to maintain the status quo.

What worries me more is that we should act to stop bad psychics/mediums or else nothing we do remains as having any reason. This we could influence because it is within the core of what we do. If we deal with it and become intellectually relevant, once again, maybe we can impact the other areas of life.

Indeed, Jim. We seem to be now in the position of the glass being half full/empty.
Having seen and benefitted from the superb Mediumship of yesterday, I, too, mourn its passing.
Thoughts can be empowered by the tone of optimism/ pessimism of the thinker and by their acquired spiritual vibration, but we have no means of stopping inferior mediumship. It is ironic that an evolutionary step forward also contains its negative aspects - presumably to maintain equilibrium.
I always get comfort from the knowledge that the Universe always retains its balance.
