Chat Box

Does anyone ever use the chat box on this site? Not tried it yet (will give a whirl shortly), just don't seem to be able to tell if anyone else is 'in' chat unless I'm missing something obvious.

Doesn't seem to do anything via Kindle.

I notice you have to hit the log in link on the upper right. I tried it but not sure if it shows who is online.

May be a whole new world on here we don' know aout Es. That said there was one of those chat box jobbies on Times Ed site. Now that was trivial.

Might be good for the odd informal debate / meeting or even q and a session with some of the experienced members on here allowing them to share their experiences and knowledge?

Best ever was correlation of forename with behaviour.
Chardonay and Wayne tend to be more trouble than ever Tamsin or Harry are in class apparently.

Bit of a contradiction now... I tend to use abbreviations like Lol mostly because it is also a 'short code' for an emoticon. Yet... I dislike the use of txt speak...

I can't do texting by phone but it does turn up in emails. I use HTH a lot.
On Kindle there's a Locked symbol under that chat box. Little padlock piccy.
