David Thompson seems to be cocking a snoop

David Thompson seems to be cocking a snoop at any-one who questions his work I am the also in his line of fire however it makes no difference to me its his own Karma not mine. He now refuses to answer any-one and does not give a hoot about ernest ehquirers or any-one else. The debate on Spirit of PN is getting out of hand and I no longer take part in the debate there are too many posters there with axes to grind and they work under false names probably under the infuence of Thompson himself. My concern was and still is the healing or lack of it in his work. Is some-one to be seriously hurt by his actions before this is resolved? L&L Jock

I have heard no recent reports that Mr Thompson has continued his work on Trance Healing. I may be wrong but believe this has stopped, at least for now.

Actually the debate on Spirit of PN has recently been conducted by people who's names are reasonably clear. Such debate, rather like your healing concerns, is unlikely to influence those who are in total support of his work or actually provide answers to those who have questions. As you suggest once it dies down it will be business as usual until something new flares up.

The issues raised are important but no one is suggesting he is a fraud. Well that is certainly true of the postings on this forum and on most of the other places his name is mentioned.

However, we will apparently remain in a position where there are no answers, where suggestions of research are refused and must await the introduction of the long promised light in the seances to reveal all.

Clearly people will still happily go to his seances and then form their own opinions either way. I do not doubt that the future will see positive and negative reports from those attendees.

It would be interesting to see what the majority of attendees of his seances feel, not just those who write the glowing references which get published. Obviously other attendees have far less chance to air their views or, alternatively, may prefer to remain silent. A few have contributed thoughts both on Spirit of PN and the two Paranormal Review articles. These comments reflect those both in favour and against, a reflection which is almost in accordance with the two deliberately varying reviews that Roy wrote.

No I do not think David is cocking a snoop he is quite entitled to remain silent upon this issue.

However when a Medium works as publically as David Thompson, questions raised do become a matter of public interest. Discussion and review is an important process of our society. Therefore those who try and surpress this are not doing any favours to the Spiritualist movement.

However, we must remember to focus on the facts we have and not jump to any conclusions without proper information. Always remember that the facts received do not support any claim of fraud.

Additionally we need to keep the debate on civil terms. However I think that, pending any further new information of public interest as the Paranormal Review and Spirit of PN articles were, the issue of David Thompson is once again in need of putting aside.

Hopefully we will get a resolution to the matter in the next few years, one which, for the benefit of the whole proof of survival movement, glowingly endorses his Mediumship. Clearly this appears likely to require the introduction of light or some certificated research.

I would, once again request posters to step away from the David Thompson issue until some newsworthy issue arises.
